Bill makes lathe-turned objects, including
conventional bowl forms and one-of-a-kind natural-edge pieces, making the most
of the wood's texture, irregularities, grain and color. Rita woodburns original designs on boxes,
magnets and pendants made of wood and other natural materials. Her drawings
feature textured, carved effects enhanced with layers of translucent
color.

kanji character and a haiku poem. She
will be demonstrating traditional Japanese braiding, "Kumihimo," and
selling these creations as bracelets and art-to-wear necklaces.

by Christina" – Traditional Norwegian and Swedish Decorative Painting
18th and 19th century Norwegian and Swedish
folk art both share a peasant origin, but each country developed separate
styles. In Norway, European baroque and
rococo designs were added to functional wooden items. In Sweden, hanging linen panels were used to teach bible stories with flowers as space fillers.
