DIRECTIONS TO UNLOADING AREA at GLEN ECHO PARK 

VIA THE BELTWAY:

From MARYLAND:  Take Capital Beltway (I-495) outer loop to exit 40 (Cabin 
John/Glen Echo).  At 2-lane Exit 40 take left fork, Cabin John Parkway. Where 
Cabin John merges with Clara Barton Pkwy, move into left lane, under overhang.  

From VIRGINIA:  Take Beltway inner loop.  Get in far right lane on American 
Legion bridge.  At first fork bear right onto exit 41 East (Clara Barton Parkway 
towards Washington).  Stay in left lane; watch for Cabin John Parkway traffic 
merging from right at overhang.

MD/VA:  After the overhang, watch for signs to MacArthur Blvd/Glen Echo.  This 
is a left exit.  Make a very sharp hairpin turn to LEFT.  Move immediately into 
the RIGHT lane and follow signs toward MacArthur Blvd.  At the T-intersection/stop sign, turn left on Macarthur Blvd.  YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE AN IMMEDIATE LEFT once you get onto MacArthur. There is a restaurant on the first left hand corner.  Turn left into the first access road, (Oberlin Road) BEFORE the restaurant, i.e. to LEFT of restaurant.  If necessary, tell the traffic director you're a crafter. Follow the road to the Bumper Car Pavilion.  

FROM DC OR MARYLAND VIA RIVER ROAD:

Take River Road or Massachusetts Ave. to Route 614, Goldsboro Road.  Goldsboro 
dead ends right at the park, at a very odd traffic circle and intersection.  Go 
three-quarters around the traffic circle, LEFT onto MacArthur Boulevard.  YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE AN IMMEDIATE LEFT once you get onto MacArthur. There is a restaurant on the first left hand corner.  Turn left into the first access road, (Oberlin Road) BEFORE the restaurant, i.e. to LEFT of restaurant.    If you come  to Cabin John Parkway you've gone too far.  Follow the access road to the Bumper Car Pavilion.  There will be people directing traffic.

PARKING: 
There will likely, as last year, be some parking passes available, allowing us 
to park in the upper lot along MacArthur. These do not guarantee space, and are 
good, obviously, until the lot is full....the alternative is the MAIN PARKING 
LOT.

GETTING BACK TO MAIN PARKING LOT:  
Head back to MacArthur Blvd.  (There will be people directing traffic.)  Turn 
LEFT onto MacArthur, drive past the circle and LEFT at park entrance sign 
(Oxford Ave.), then LEFT into main lot.  Park as directed, walk across the 
little bridge, and go straight ahead to the Bumper Car Pavilion.

The Bumper Car Pavilion is the green roof  at the bottom of the pic, near the 
two white buildings. The main Glen Echo lot is the big area at  the left-center, 
with MacArthur Blvd. running down the right side.
